Egyptian God of Death and Judge of the Underworld, Anubis is the son of Osiris and Isis and Horus' brother.

Jackal headed and black skinned with a grim appearance, he is the Neter's psychopomp and sits with his scale in the Hall of Two Truths alongside his father Osiris, Thoth, Horus and Ammit. Together they judge the worthiness of one's soul to enter Duat, the egyptian Underworld. Shall the soul be unworthy, it will be devoured by Ammit and so denied any hope of a further existence beyond complete servitude to the Gods.

Despite his grim appearance which may frighten some, Anubis is not a violent nor cruel God and is a rather calm deity, if rather taciturn. He is the protector of embalmers and guide of the souls. Anubis earned his current title by helping his mother Isis gather Osiris' remains and bring him back to life.

More recently, Anubis put himself in the middle of the divine geopolitical scene: as an Egyptian deity thriving for Law and Order and witnessing the situation around it, he annexed the Celtic Underworld Tech Duinn in order to stabilize the realm when the Tuatha Dé Danann were temporarily unable to reach and rule it. Still ruling Tech Duinn, Anubis has given his main duties to the Neter to his most trusted Godborns.

Like him, his Godborns are quiet but busy. They prize the value of the law and know and respect their place in society. They are grief counselors, cancer psychologists, romancers and philosophers.
