The Fomorians are a race of mythborn originated from Ireland. Raiders and looters coming in all sizes and shapes, the fomorians were living under the sea or underground. They frequently came on the surface to attack humans and wreck havoc in villages. Before the arrival of the Tuatha Dé Danann, they were the dominant species in both Britannia and Ireland. Humans had to cope with them and were maintained in a constant state of fear.

When Danu managed to open the passage between Ireland and Tir na nÓg - also called the Eye of the Earth - her and her brethren-children fought the looter mythborns during the First Battle of Mag Tuired and drove them into hiding back under the sea and mounds for good. Secluded away from their ancient territory, the fomorians grew a persistent anti-God feeling which lasted for millenia, until the vast majority of them were seduced by Crom Cruach and joined him during the Second Battle of Mag Tuired, lead by their King Balor.

During that time between both Battles, the fomorians still tried themselves to diplomacy and thus a marriage between Balor's daughter Ethniu - a truly beautiful formorian princess - and Cian was arranged. From this marriage was born Lugh, who became a prominent figure of the Tuatha Dé.

Nowadays, almost all of them have fallen under Crom Cruach's grip and fight only to bring death and destruction in there trail. They became the sworn enemies of the Tuatha Dé Danann and are fated to remain so until the end of times.
