Celtic God of Strength and Eloquence, Ogma is the famous son of The Dagda.

Tall, blond-haired and bearded, Ogma usually appears topless - showing is muscular body - and wearing nothing but a kilt.

Ogma is a very talented warrior and is among the best duelists in the Tuatha Dé Danann. Like all his brethren, he also masters the druid arts. His supernatural strength added, Ogma is clearly to be considered as a force of nature. But a rather peaceful one. He was part of both Battle of Mag Tuired, unvaluable asset to his brethren, as much in combat as in negociations and was Nuada's champion. It was he who challenged the then youngling Lugh to show his strength in order to prove his worthiness. Ogma threw a flagstone - weighting about 8 tons - away from Tir na nÓg down to Ireland through the Eye of the Earth. Lugh responded the challenge by casually dragging the stone back to Ogma.

As a God of Eloquence, Ogma is also a true poet and loves to recite poems and sing songs when time allows it. Not all of them are pompous and Ogma usually knows how to set the mood in one of The Dagda's parties in Tir na nÓg. He is also the one who gave the celtic alphabet to humans, who called it Ogham alphabet as a tribute to the God. In the aftermath of the Second Battle of Mag Tuired, it was Ogma who took charge of the negociations with the Aesir about the conditions of their vassality to the Norse when it became obvious the Tuatha Dé was vulnerable. However, because of the shared closeness of both the Vanir and the Tuatha Dé with Nature and the celts' gain of power, Ogma is said to have his loyalty to the Aesir more and more fluctuent…even though his official position on the matter remains the same for the past 3000 years.

Like their father, Ogma's Godborns are true warrior-poets. They thrive for their ideals and give themselves the means to accomplish them. They are patient, educated and strong-willed - William Wallace was among Ogma's most famous children. They are also mostly benevolent but one should beware of their backlashes as they are usually swift, well designed and - most of the time - lethal. They are soldiers, but also teachers, philosophers or vigilantes.
