Polyphemus is a famous Cyclop, son of Poseidon, who was blinded and fooled by Odysseus. To avenge his son, the sea god did not allow Odysseus to return home for a decade after countless trials.

Polyphemus lived in a small hidden island in Greece with his sheep and his bretheren, though he was quite ridiculed for his foolishness and diminished by his blindness. Poseidon was able to keep the island relatively hidden from modern technology and humans, but in 1964, Polyphemus was informed by a Secret Society that Odysseus had actually reached his destination. Feeling betrayed by his father for not punishing the hero hard enough, the Cyclop left and has yet to be seen.
